Hillingdon's CCTV showed the vehicle at Bentinck Road travelling the wrong way towards a sign. Henry Michael Greenslade identified that sign as diagram 652, the rectangular one-way sign in Schedule 9 of TSRGD 2016. The decision is recorded under the archive's blue-arrow allegation, but its actual reasoning concerns one-way signing.

The adjudicator distinguished movement towards the sign from proof that the vehicle had already passed an indication of the restriction. On the evidence produced, he could not find that a contravention had occurred and allowed the appeal on 16 June 2025.
