Court stage
For a private parking ticket, the first appeal goes to the operator. For a council PCN, Parking Mate UK sends the informal challenge or formal representations required by that notice. The eligible independent appeal is included when the first appeal is rejected.
The private parking operator or public authority considers the first challenge. A rejection identifies the independent appeal available for that case.

Include the alleged contravention, dates and all pages. Tell us whether the ticket was left on the vehicle or delivered by post and whether an appeal has already been sent.
Operator and authority appeals are prepared and submitted with your authorisation. If a later court or enforcement notice arrives, the separate document service prepares the paperwork for you to send.

Council and Transport for London appeals
Reviews the Penalty Charge Notice or Notice to Owner, checks the contravention, evidence and statutory grounds, prepares the Informal Challenge or Formal Representations and submits it to the council or Transport for London. After a Notice of Rejection, the agent prepares and submits the appeal to London Tribunals or the Traffic Penalty Tribunal.
Private parking court claims and CCJs
Reviews the Claim Form or default judgment and your evidence. Prepares the Defence, later court documents or appropriate CCJ application, with instructions for you to sign and file or send the documents yourself.
Traffic enforcement and recovery
Checks the Notice of Enforcement, warrant and earlier PCN correspondence. Where a permitted ground applies, prepares the witness statement or statutory declaration and any required out-of-time application. You send the completed documents and prepared correspondence to TEC, the authority or enforcement firm using the supplied instructions.
The first submission and eligible independent appeal are included in the £9.99 service for that ticket.
Send the notice and answer the questions. If you proceed, Parking Mate UK prepares and submits the appeal and handles the eligible independent appeal after rejection.
